Glynn Berridge designed and built The Music Box underneath his home in Observatory Johannesburg, which took 10 years to build. The venue opened it’s doors for the first live performance on the 23rd June 2012. Laurie Levine was our first guest artist who is best known for her fresh blend of Americana and folk music.

The Music Box is an all-round, high end entertainment venue, which boasts both brilliant sound and lighting systems.

The venue offers a theater stage with seating arrangements for a maximum of 60 people per show, which further transforms into an underground house club with capacity for up to 150 people.

A typical evening at The Music Box consists of a vegetarian meal, drinks, coffee, tea and cake and the live stage performance showcasing the best of South African Music.
